Funds for the First Judicial District will remain largely unchanged from last year if Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney’s budget is implemented as proposed.

The Kenney administration released its proposed $4.1 billion budget earlier this month, which allocates $212 million for criminal justice services, including the FJD, the District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office, witness fees and legal aid services, which includes the Philadelphia Defender’s Association.
