A contracting company and the estate of a 10-year-old boy killed when two vehicles operated by drivers who had drugs in their systems collided at an intersection and subsequently ran him over have reached a $4.15 million settlement.

The agreement, stemming from the accident that occurred in Chester, Delaware County, was reached through mediation prior to trial in the case presided over by Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Lisa Rau. The settlement was mediated by James Melinson of JAMS.
