On the heels of an unsuccessful legal challenge to a ballot question that could raise Pennsylvania’s mandatory judicial retirement age, a vote on the constitutional amendment has been delayed until November’s general election.
The state Senate voted 32-17 on Monday to push the public vote from the April 26 primary election, following a 110-77 vote on April 6 by the state House of Representatives on the same issue. Gov. Tom Wolf said he would accept the legislature’s decision to wait until Nov. 8 to put the question to voters.
