The medical marijuana industry can officially kick into high gear next week when Gov. Tom Wolf is expected to sign the legislation into law, but there has been no similar sign-off by the state Supreme Court authorizing ethics rule changes that would protect lawyers from advising this new industry.

That could be changing within a few months, but lawyers are left in a legal gray area until then while their clients are ready to get started now. And the amount of legal work expected to flow from the new legislation touches on a wide array of practice expertise.
