Josh Shapiro has a significant lead in available spending money as the race to secure the Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania attorney general enters its final week.
While Shapiro, chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, and Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. each spent nearly $1.4 million in the second campaign finance reporting cycle, from March 8 to April 11, Shapiro has a $940,000 edge in money to spend in the last days of the primary campaign. The primary election is set for April 26.
