A subsidiary of the ride-sharing giant Uber will be able to operate in Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court has ruled.
A unanimous en banc panel of the court ruled Tuesday to uphold a state Public Utility Commission decision last year that granted Rasier-PA LLC, a subsidiary of Uber, statewide authorization to operate as an experimental common carrier. Experimental carriers operate under additional regulations, including added informational and reporting requirements.
