Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr.’s campaign for Pennsylvania attorney general has returned $15,000 donated by Pocono Gardens Realty, a company owned by Scranton-area businessman and convicted felon Louis DeNaples.

Marty Marks, a spokesman for Zappala’s campaign, said they had not been aware of the donation’s connection to DeNaples and the money is being returned. The Susquehanna-based Pocono Gardens Realty donated $5,000 on March 24 and $10,000 on April 11.
