Attorney General Kathleen Kane is seeking to appeal an order denying several motions in which she sought relief in her criminal case, including a dismissal of the charges against her.

Kane appeared in court Wednesday in Norristown for a pretrial hearing. At that hearing, her attorney said they plan to seek an interlocutory appeal to Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy’s order, filed in March. The order denied Kane’s motion to have the charges against her tossed. It also denied her motion to have the entire Montgomery County bench recused and to have the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office disqualified from prosecuting the case. Kane’s attorneys filed a notice of appeal with the trial court Wednesday, which said the appeal will be filed in the Superior Court.
