The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to review whether a state agency is required to allow a suspended attorney to represent a party in its hearings and proceedings.

The court granted allocatur April 13 in Powell v. Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (Joe Krentzman & Sons), a case in which the Commonwealth Court ruled last fall that the UCBR can’t prohibit suspended attorneys from representing claimants before unemployment referees.
