The criminal cases involving Bill Cosby and Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane have a few things in common—both are high-profile, taking place in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, and are being prosecuted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Additionally, both defendants have sought interlocutory appeals in the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Cosby’s appeal was quashed Monday, but his preliminary hearing has already been subject to a delay, which could continue if his attorneys choose to seek relief from the state Supreme Court. Kane’s trial could encounter a similar delay depending on how her appeal proceeds.
