Appointment of Deputy Constables

In re Oren, PICS Case No. 16-0552 (C.P. Monroe Feb. 22, 2016) Mark, J. (21 pages).

The petition to appoint Joncarlo Oren as a deputy constable was denied, because he had a criminal record which he failed to disclose and minimized, he was under criminal investigation for forgery and fraud, his appointment as constable in another county had been suspended, and his testimony was evasive and disrespectful; also, there was no error in the district attorney’s participation in the proceedings. The denial of the petition should be affirmed.
