In January of this year, the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia proposed a new local rule requiring the government to produce materials to the defendant that goes beyond the requirements of Brady v. Maryland, 373 US 83 (1963), as that case has been interpreted in the courts. (The proposed rule and its comments will be mailed to the courts in its entirety.
