Judge Thomas M. Hardiman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit was on a list of 11 jurists Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced Wednesday as people he would consider nominating to the U.S. Supreme Court if given the chance.
Hardiman has served on the Third Circuit since 2007 and before that was a district judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania since 2003. He was nominated to the Third Circuit by President George W. Bush in 2006 at the age of 41.
