For attorneys, being involved in professional associations is a given. Not only do those associations offer the required continuing legal education, but they also provide opportunities to network and ideally develop business. Encouraging and supporting firm lawyers to join professional associations is a critical tool for building their professional success and development.

However, it is just as critical to a firm’s success for firm executives and management, a firm’s so-called C-Suite, to also be afforded the opportunity of joining professional associations. Benefits of these associations include the ability to network with peers both locally and nationally and receive much needed continuing education to sharpen their skills as leaders within a firm.
