After 54 years of service as a court clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Michael Kunz is calling it a career.

Kunz, who started as a deputy clerk in 1962 and became clerk of court in 1979, is set to retire July 1—he is the longest serving clerk in the entire federal judicial system.
