The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to review whether insurers can exclude autism-related services from coverage.
In a June 15 order, the justices granted allocatur in Burke v. Independence Blue Cross to address an issue of “critical statewide importance” regarding a Superior Court decision that found an insurance company must provide in-school, austim-related services despite a general policy exclusion saying services would not be covered in schools.
