A federal judge rejected a manufacturing company’s bid to eliminate its $325,500 ­liability in an asbestos case on the argument that the plaintiffs had already been made whole by settling with other defendants.

U.S. District Judge Nitza I. Quiñones Alejandro of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania also held that Crane Co. had to pay an additional $52,000 in damages to compensate the plaintiff for the time between filing the suit and the verdict.
