Fed up with low rates, slow payment and seeing their fees slashed, defense attorneys in Philadelphia who serve the indigent are gearing up to take their long-standing complaints to courts.
At the same time, the city and court officials say they have begun working together to revise the fee agreement contract and develop a system for better handling disputed attorneys’ court-appointed attorney fees.
