Speaking before a courtroom filled with members of her former law firm and others she duped in her county bar association, Kimberly Kitchen apologized Tuesday for a decade-long ruse in which she lied about being a lawyer.

Kitchen expressed remorse during a two-hour sentencing hearing for crimes that included lying about her status as a lawyer and forging documents to prove herself as an attorney.She was sentenced to two to five years in prison, more than twice the sentence, on the high end, recommended by Pennsylvania’s guidelines, Kitchen’s attorney said.
