Former Fox Rothschild attorney Herbert K. Sudfeld was sentenced on July 22 to six months in prison for insider trading and lying to federal investigators, in a display of leniency from the federal judge handling his case.

U.S. District Judge Cynthia M. Rufe of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania opted for a downward variance on the prosecution’s suggested sentence of at least 16 months, pointing to Sudfeld’s work in his community as a leader in his church, youth sports, Boy Scouts, and the Bucks County Bar Association.
