I am a young lawyer and I like doing collection work. I want to join forces with a collection firm. Can I do so?

The question is difficult to answer since it doesn’t have enough facts. If the collections firm is run by nonlawyers, then a lawyer can receive referrals from that firm, but cannot pay referral fees or share fees. To do so would violate Rule of Professional Conduct 5.4, sharing fees with nonlawyers.
