Attorney General Kathleen Kane said Friday morning she did not find it necessary to testify on her own behalf in her criminal trial. The defense rested without calling any witnesses.

Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy dismissed the jury shortly before noon Friday, and said the trial would resume Monday morning with closing arguments and the jury charge. She was set to meet with counsel for both sides Friday afternoon to discuss the proposed jury charge and verdict slip.
