Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s balletic evasion of the slings and arrows sent her way during her time in office concluded Monday evening, as a jury found her guilty on all charges, including two third-degree felony counts of perjury and seven misdemeanors.

Kane remained stoic as the jury’s foreperson read the verdict, even as her attorney Gerald Shargel asked for an individual polling of each juror and each confirmed the result. By 8:45 p.m., when the jury finished its four-and-a-half hour deliberation to return its verdict in a chilly, windowless courtroom in Norristown, Kane’s support section had dwindled to include only her sister and Office of Attorney General colleague Ellen Granahan.
