The General Assembly is in a rush before the legislative session ends in November to save shops that sell e-cigarettes (vape shops) from extinction over a tax enacted along with the state spending plan in July.
The Senate Finance Committee approved legislation that would delay the 40 percent floor tax, scheduled to go into effect Oct. 1 for 90 days.
