In the race for the seat that could decide the balance of power in the U.S. Senate, a new poll shows that Democratic challenger Katie McGinty suffers from lackluster support among women who are likely to vote, and from members of her own party overall.
Many political observers say that the race between Republican incumbent Pat Toomey and McGinty will determine whether the Republicans maintain the majority in the Senate, if only by a slim margin.
