We are living in a big data world. Human resources departments are joining the big data party.

According to a recent survey by Deloitte, 35 percent of major ­employers are using data analytics in their HR departments. Using the right algorithms and data sets, employers can potentially predict an individual’s ability to succeed in a specific job, their resiliency, their ability to work with others, and many, many other things that are amazingly accurate. Instead of relying just on intuition and experience, HR personnel are increasingly using analytics to assist with their employment decisions.
