Pennsylvania law firms outpaced the rest of the legal industry for revenue in the first three quarters of 2016, according to new survey results from Citi Private Bank, even as demand was relatively flat both in Pennsylvania and industrywide.

Revenue was up 6.4 percent at Pennsylvania law firms, Citi Private Bank’s nine-month quarterly flash survey results showed, compared to a 3.7 percent revenue increase across the industry. Out of 11 regions surveyed, Pennsylvania had the best revenue results, Citi Private Bank regional market manager Lisa Kohut said, and showed “great control in expenses.”
