Federal prosecutors want to lock up convicted former Congressman Chaka Fattah for 17-and-a-half to 22 years for racketeering, bribery and other corruption charges, according to a court document.

In sentencing papers filed to U.S. District Judge Harvey Bartle III of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, prosecutors painted the 60-year-old Philadelphia Democrat as a self-serving politician who expressed no remorse for his crimes. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 12.
