For large law firms in Pennsylvania, 2015 was a somewhat uneven year. While some firms managed to grow revenue and keep attorneys busy throughout the year, a few saw declines and several reported demand being either slightly down or flat compared to 2014.

Firms that increased revenue generally did so through some combination of growing head count, raising rates and closely managing expenses. A few firms also attributed revenue growth to other factors, including well-timed contingency fees and improved realization.
