Since Gaetan Alfano took over as chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association at the beginning of 2016, the group has been outspoken on a number of issues effecting attorneys and the public, programming has increased and the membership has grown significantly.

Alfano, who steps down as chancellor at the start of next year, spoke with The Legal about the association’s accomplishments during his tenure, and the difficulties in balancing the leadership role with the needs that come with a successful litigation practice.
