Bill Cosby wants his criminal case to be transferred out of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, arguing that potential jurors in that county have been unfairly influenced by media coverage of the comedian’s alleged crimes.

Lawyers for Cosby, who is facing trial on three counts of aggravated indecent assault, filed a motion for change of venue Dec. 30, one year after the charges were announced. The criminal charges stem from Andrea Constand’s allegations that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in his Cheltenham home in 2004.
