A cleaning supply company is on the hook for $308,000 after a subsidiary failed to give a refund for items sold on QVC’s televised shopping network.

In QVC’s breach of contract case against OurHouseWorks, U.S. District Senior Judge Jan E. DuBois of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted the West Chester-based network’s request to pierce the corporate veil, holding that OurHouseWorks’ parent company, EnvirOx, was unjustly enriched by the proceeds from the liquidation of products QVC returned without receiving a refund.
