An Uber rider claiming he was beaten and left for dead by a driver who didn’t want to transport him from Philadelphia to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has sued the company for assault and negligence.

The passenger, Joseph Fusco, who called for the ride after drinking at a holiday party, also claims in his lawsuit, filed in Philadelphia federal court Thursday, that Uber has refused to help police identify the driver, who remains at large after speeding away from the alleged incident.
