Philadelphia District Attorney R. Seth Williams has been hit with more than $60,000 in fines and penalties in connection with failing to properly report gifts and payments he received—many of which came from prominent defense attorneys and firms.

Williams and the Board of Ethics of the City of Philadelphia reached a settlement Tuesday, in which Williams agreed to pay a $62,000 fine, as well as disgorge $2,840. Williams had been charged with violating the Philadelphia Ethics Code for failing to report more than $100,000 in gifts and payments between 2010 and 2015.
