James Schultz, the head of Cozen O’Connor’s government law and regulatory affairs practice, is leaving the firm to join President Donald Trump’s administration as an associate White House counsel and special assistant to the president.

Schultz joined the firm in November 2014, when Cozen O’Connor formed the practice group. Before that he had served as Pennsylvania’s general counsel under Gov. Tom Corbett since 2012. He joined the Pennsylvania Office of General Counsel in 2011 as first executive deputy general counsel.
