If an interim appointment to an appellate court may be thought of as an audition for a potential full term, all of Pennsylvania’s “incumbents” passed with flying colors in the eyes of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Commission.

The group announced ratings for 25 potential judicial candidates seeking appellate court seats in the 2017 election. The commission rated the hopefuls as either “highly recommended,” “recommended” or “not recommended.”
