A Pittsburgh lawyer convicted and sentenced to probation for conspiring with an interstate drug ring to distribute crack cocaine has been suspended from practicing law for three years.
The state’s disciplinary board leveled its punishment against criminal defense attorney Guy Amatangelo on Tuesday. The three-year suspension was applied retroactively to Aug. 7, 2015, in between two events: Amatangelo’s guilty plea to a charge of firearm possession by a drug user in April, and subsequent guilty plea on the crack-related charge five months later.
