Volkswagen has agreed to pay $157 million to resolve environmental claims brought in 10 states, including Connecticut, Delaware, New York and Pennsylvania.
The settlement, announced on Thursday, is part of a multistate agreement under which Volkswagen has agreed to resolve environmental claims based on its installation of “defeat devices” in its diesel vehicles to skirt emissions tests.
