• On May 3, a pro bono committee meeting is set to be held at 12:30 p.m. at Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith. Cate Galbally, development officer of corporate relations and special events for the Support Center for Child Advocates, is the speaker for the meeting. She will discuss pro bono and community service opportunities and events with the SCCA. PAP would like to thank B & R Services for sponsoring the pro bono meeting. Pizza and drinks will be provided. If so, then you can enter to win the 2017 Joan Weldon Memorial Scholarship. The Joan Weldon Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 award from The Philadelphia Association of Paralegals given to a paralegal student demonstrating academic excellence. The winner is selected by members of the professional development committee and is presented at the association’s quarterly luncheon in July.
