The Pennsylvania Superior Court has ruled that it doesn’t have jurisdiction to decide a discovery dispute in a case brought by a judge against his former law firm over contingency fees he claims he is owed.

The three-judge panel consisting of Superior Court Judges Kate Ford Elliott and Mary Jane Bowes and Senior Judge Eugene B. Strassburger quashed an appeal by the former law partners of Allegheny Court of Common Pleas Judge Philip A. Ignelzi at the now-defunct law firm Ogg, Cordes, Murphy, & Ignelzi.
