The most prominent of Bill Cosby’s alleged victims told her story publicly for the first time Tuesday, describing in graphic detail the alleged 2004 sexual assault that led to the only criminal charges against the comedian, despite similar claims by dozens of women.

Andrea Constand took the stand at Cosby’s criminal trial in Norristown and described her relationship with Cosby over several years. She said it began with an introduction at Temple University and developed into a meaningful friendship, but became defined by an alleged sexual assault in 2004.
