The Perelman family patriarch’s claims against his son and his former lawyer were properly tossed by the district court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has decided.

The Third Circuit ruled in a single opinion on two appeals filed by Raymond G. Perelman—one in a case with his son, Jeffrey Perelman, and the other in a case with his former lawyer, Arlin Adams. The underlying issues in each case are the same and stem from a disputed $24 million transaction between father and son in 1990 that was handled by Adams.
