A Lehigh Valley lawyer has failed in a bid to vacate his conviction on charges related to stealing client funds because of ineffective assistance of counsel.

John J. Keller, an Allentown, Pa., lawyer who was suspended from practice after his 2008 conviction on 12 counts of wire fraud, lodged a slew of allegations against the lawyer who represented him at trial. But U.S. District Judge Juan R. Sanchez of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania wasn’t persuaded by any of them.
