The cases surrounding the Artelon spacer, a medical device implant that allegedly caused bone tissue to deteriorate in several orthopaedic patients, have been settled in Philadelphia.

An order docketed May 21 by Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Arnold New, the coordinating judge of the court’s Complex Litigation Center, said all 52 cases in the Artelon litigation have been settled and are to be listed as “discontinued” on the docket.
