John Grisham books are my guilty pleasure. And even after a long day (or week) working as a senior associate at a large law firm, I am invariably drawn to serial television centered on — what else? — the law. So when both CBS and ABC announced that they would be airing midseason dramas about the U.S. Supreme Court, I was perplexed about overworking my VCR — but also thrilled.
“First Monday”– CBS’ offering — was a critical disappointment when it premiered in February (on Tuesdays) and has already been shuffled into its second time slot. That “First Monday” now airs on Fridays only confuses matters.
