Four lawyers have emerged as candidates for a seat on the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.

The vacancy was created in January when Judge Samuel W. Salus II stepped down after 22 years on the bench. Salus intends to work as a senior judge from April through October and to spend the late fall and the winter at his Savannah, Ga., home with his wife.
