J. Jerome Mansmann, the former co-chairman of Buchanan Ingersoll’s health care practice and the lawyer chosen to run its London-based health care non-legal consultant service two years ago, has left the firm for Reed Smith.

According to Mansmann and Buchanan Ingersoll chairman William Newlin, Mansmann left after the firm slashed the number of lawyers working out of the London office and asked him to return to work out of the Pittsburgh office. But that’s where the similarities in the respective versions of the story end.
