A Salem County, N.J., man can face a possible death penalty in a second murder trial even though his first trial ended in a hung jury, the state Supreme Court said yesterday.
The unanimous decision in the case of Luis A. Cruz Jr. could have a bearing on the high-profile case of Cherry Hill Rabbi Fred J. Neulander. As with Cruz, a jury last year deadlocked on the murder charge against Neulander.
