In 1985, a Pepper Hamilton partner abandoned the practice of law for the fledgling legal headhunter business. Roughly 17 years later, Michael Coleman has an established company in an established business, and former Pepper Hamilton partner Scott Godshall has decided to follow in his footsteps.
But the world Godshall is entering is much different from the one in which Coleman made his move. When Coleman started his company, there were only a few other legal headhunters vying for the same clients. Today, law firms and lawyers have dozens of options, locally and nationally, for filling their placement needs.
