The American Bar Association wrapped up its annual Midyear Meeting in Philadelphia Tuesday morning with the House of Delegates ratifying a proposal recommending the use of public funds to finance judicial elections.
After a lengthy debate on the floor, which included several failed amendments, the resolution sponsored chiefly by the ABA standing committee on judicial independence passed in convincing fashion.
